500 workers bound to lose their jobs 

Five hundred workers may lose their jobs next month if government does not renew its contract with Destination Inspection Companies, DIC's. 

The General Secretary of the Maritime and Dock Workers Union, (MDU), Daniel Owusu- Koranteng, made this known at a union's sub-regional workshop in Accra. 

He said government's intervention as a matter of urgency will save a lot of workers who will add up to the mass of unemployed already in the system.
