The Daily Graphic commends the people of Wa for their massive participation in this month's National Sanitation Day. The Paper says it is overwhelming the enthusiasm displayed by the people such that it started at dawn although it was scheduled for 6am. It says as a result the municipality was already cleaned up by the time the entourage of Ministers and officials were ready to kick start the exercise. The Graphic however maintains that the cleaning of the environment must not be done once a month but rather a daily ritual. 

The Ghanaian Times is worried that in spite of the enduring democratic process, political actors continue to behave in a way that sets the country on edge anytime there is an election. The Paper refers to reports emanating from Talensi which indicate that tension is high and there are fears security may be breached.  It says this has necessitated the tightening of security in the Constituency. The Times urges residents of Talensi to cherish the democracy that has been built overtime and not trade it for any other form of governance as it will spell doom for the country.

The Herald calls on the IGP to deploy his men to Kasoa to mount a 24/7 surveillance and patrol as the residents there are living in fear. This is due to the rampant attacks by armed robbers which is making the area a den for criminals. It says the police should do well to make Kasoa a priority in terms of security to dispel the fears of the people there.
