Rationalisation is not to downsize - Deputy Minister 

A Deputy Minister for Finance, Cassiel Ato Forson, says government is pursuing a rationalisation of the man power needs of the public sector. 

He says in order to ensure maximum efficiency of the civil service, the Public Services Commission is spearheading a manpower audit of the service. 

He said this in Parliament at the ongoing sitting of the Public Accounts Committee, PAC. 

Mr. Forson told the PAC that the rationalisation programme being carried out does not amount to downsizing.
