Professor Oduro expresses concern about the poor academic performance of students The Provost of the College of Distance of Education, University of Cape Coast, Professor George Oduro has expressed concern about the poor academic performance of students of Agona Asafo in the Central region. He said over the years performance in the BECE especially in English and Mathematics has been nothing to write home about. Speaking to Radio Ghana after donating stationery and a multi purpose Photocopier to the Agona Asafo community library, Professor Oduro called on philanthropists to assist the community with the needed resources to enhance learning. The Odikro of Agona Asafo, Nana Yamfo Asuako, said education is the key to unlocking opportunities and thanked Zenith Bank and the Oduro family for the kind gesture. He called on citizens of the area to also assist in getting an ICT centre as an attachment to the library. GBC
