Ghana begins Investigations into migrants saga Investigations have begun into reports that some Christian migrants from Ghana have been thrown into the Mediterranean by some Muslims travelling with them. This follows an international media reports that 12 Ghanaians and Nigerian migrants have died in religious clash on the Mediterranean and have been thrown overboard from a boat heading to Italy. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hannah Tetteh in a response said the Ghanaian mission there has started investigating and ascertaining the facts of the matter. She added that the investigation is to enable her ministry know if those alleged to have been thrown overboard are indeed Ghanaians before an action could be taken. She however, assured Ghanaians that findings from the investigation will be made public as soon as they have credible information. GBC
