The Ghanaian Times sees the IMF support programme as a big relief to government and the majority of Ghanaians. The Paper recognises, that there are very challenging times ahead and calls on everyone to support the effort to achieve success. The Paper believes the greater onus is on government to provide the leadership that would ensure set targets are achieved.  The Times commends government for staying the course and receiving the assistance from IMF. 

The Daily Graphic is worried about the number of lives that perished due to road accidents on the Eve of Easter. The Paper calls on Ghanaians to focus on the real significance of Easter and think along the lines of nation building, promoting unity in diversity. The Paper recalls that members of the clergy in their Easter messages asked Ghanaians not to allow the commercialisation of the Easter season to redefine what the celebration meant. The Graphic calls on Ghanaians not to despair but be optimistic and look forward with renewed hope and vigour in the execution of their daily endeavours. 

The Today Newspaper disagrees with President John Dramani Mahama that the success of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) package depends on Ghanaians. The Paper rather thinks the success depends on the President who is the head of state. The Paper believes control of the national purse falls squarely in his hands and for that matter, it is important for his government to exercise oversight responsibility on the national kitty and not to make it look like the President does not have control over disbursement of national funds. The Paper calls on government to prove that it has learnt its lesson in the past and will not repeat its past mistakes.
