Kenya compiles list of suspected al-Shabaab members Kenya is compiling a list of people suspected to have joined Somali militant group al Shabaab. The list will also include people who have been radicalised by Islamists, but have not necessarily joined the terrorist group yet. Regional governors, members of parliament and security officials are expected to help draw up the list. The compilation of the list follows last week's attack by al-Shabaab on a university in Garissa, in which 148 people were killed. Yesterday, the Kenyan air force bombed two al-Shabaab camps in Somalia, in the first major military response. Jets pounded the camps in Gondodowe and Ismail, both in the Gedo region bordering Kenya. Al-Shabaab militants have killed more than 400 people in Kenya since April 2013. News24
