2 Police officers die in car crash 


Two Police personnel from the Patrol and Transport Division of the Tema Regional Police Command, died this dawn at Shai Hills.
 
The Police Officers who were returning from their routine patrols on the Tema–Akosombo road collided with a KIA truck at Shai Hills resulting in the death of the two personnel whose names are being withheld. 

Speaking to the media, the Tema Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Juliana Obeng, said the patrol vehicle had three personnel on board. 

She stated that one officer who sustained injuries and was rushed to the Tema General Hospital and has since been treated and discharged. 

ASP Obeng said the bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Police Hospital morgue. 

She however, mentioned that the KIA driver is suspected to be seeking medical attention at a government hospital. 

ASP Obeng said the names of the deceased have been withheld explaining that the Command is yet to disclose the information to the respective families.
