ILGS launches Centre for Geospatial Intelligence Services

The Institute of Local Government Studies has established a Centre for Geospatial Intelligence Services and Local Governance Observatory to assist in planning and development decisions in local governance. 

Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Emmanuel Agyekum said the creation of the Centre is a step in the right direction to deal with urban development challenges such as street naming and identifying public assets. 

He said this at the launch of the Centre in Accra.
