Nigeria Election: EC Chairman assures Nigerian's of credible elections The Chairman of Nigeria’s Independent National Electoral Commission Prof. Attahiru Jega says the commission is under pressure to deliver a general elections that is free, fair and transparent, a notch higher than the 2011 one. In an interview with a Nigerian television station, he said no individuals or institutions are putting pressure on the commission to do anything contrary. Prof. Jega urged the other institutions which have complimentary roles to play to make Saturday's Presidential and Federal Assembly elections peaceful and successful to work diligently in the larger Prof. Jega said the postponement of the elections from February 14 last month to this Saturday, March 28, gave the commission ample time to have done a lot of things to improve the electoral process.
