Government to impact of all projects and programmes that have been funded - PIAC

The Public Interest and Accountability Committee (PIAC) says government should immediately conduct an evaluation of the effectiveness and impact of all the projects and programmes that have been funded with revenues from the petroleum sector.  

This, the committee believes will inform the people and also provide the basis for spending allocations in future.  

At the sixth Public Meeting of PIAC on the management of petroleum revenues in Accra, a former chairman of PIAC, Major Daniel Ablorh Quarcoo noted that proceeds from the sector should be channeled into projects that the public can easily identify.
