Two communities clash over land

One person is in a critical condition whilst two others have sustained minor injuries in a clash between two communities, Mungu in the Kumbungu district and Mashegu in the Savelugu district in the Northern Region.  

The clash was over a parcel of land being claimed by the two communities. 

The Northern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ebenezer Tetteh said one party attacked the other when they heard that the rival party had gone to demarcate the boundaries of their land.  

No arrest has been made, but calm has since return to the area.
