About 70% Of Ghanaian Employees Work Under Deplorable Conditions – NDPC Survey A survey carried out by the National Development Planning Commission and the British Council shows that the vulnerable employment rate in Ghana is 70 percent. This means that most employees work under deplorable conditions with their welfare less a priority for employers. According to the report, government is partly to blame for low productivity in especially public institutions because the structures to ensure decent work with favourable working conditions have been broken for a very long time. At the launch of the report in Accra, the Director General of the NDPC, Dr Nii Moi Thompson said the Commission will study the gaps identified in the report critically and work towards breaching them.
