Gov't to consider using solar energy to power water treatment plants

Government is considering the use of solar energy to power its huge water treatment plants instead of electricity. 

This has become necessary as government finds alternative sources to solve the energy shortfall.  

President John Mahama, who made this known when he toured new plants of Accra Brewery Limited in Accra, said engineers have been tasked to study the solar plan. 

Meanwhile, District Assemblies are to take delivery of road improvement equipment as a quick measure to solve the many inaccessible roads in towns and villages.
