Food producing companies urged to process millet for infants An Agronomist with the Savannah Agriculture Accelerated Development, Dr Roger Kanton has asked the Private Sector especially food producing companies to take up challenges to process millet for infants because of its immense vitamin properties. Dr Kanton told Radio Ghana that currently South Africa and Senegal are using Ghana's millet to produce baby food. He called for political will to support farmers to increase millet production for the school feeding programme. Dr Kanton asked that Chief Directors remain the true civil servants they are and should not dabble in politics. They should rather promote agriculture development. He said the Ministry of Food and Agriculture and the Research Institutions should collaborate and work for the benefit of farmers in particular and Ghanaians in general. GBC
