Ministry to reduce number of check points at the country’s seaports A Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Murtala Mohammed says the ministry is taking measures to reduce the number of check points at the country’s seaports. The Ministry is also working to reduce the number of check points during clearance of goods from the current 23 to about ten. Mr. Mohammed announced this at a workshop organised for journalists by the Ship Owners and Agents Association (SOAAG) in Tema. He said it is worrying that importers have to go through so many checks to clear their goods. GBC
