Maritime stakeholders must accept government interventions Stakeholders in the maritime industry have been urged to accept government’s policies aimed at improving services at the country's Ports instead of out rightly rejecting interventions. Speaking to Radio Ghana after a day’s training for journalists in Tema, the Deputy Communications Manager at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Nasir Ahmed Yartey, said it is unfortunate that though stakeholders always call for government intervention to simplify port procedures, the same people reject those polices. He said stakeholders must get a common ground with government on the introduction and implementation of policies. Mr Yartey urged stakeholders to appreciate the interventions and point out the specific unfavourable areas and give constructive recommendations to help improve the system of operations in the maritime sector.
