The Daily Graphic commends President Mahama's directive to have all six million textbooks to be distributed to public schools printed locally, saying the move sets the tone towards the patronage of local goods and expertise. According to the Paper, the directive will go a long way to save local printers and earn the country a lot in not having to import the books in foreign currency.

The Ghanaian Times says it supports the idea for security agencies to stop scammers. The Paper says the recent recruitment scandal which hit the Ghana Police Service should be a clear warning to all and sundry that money cannot be used in doing wrong things all the time and get away with it. It embraces the new ways devised by the four institutions for recruitment saying it behoves all to be conversant with the new system adopted so as to save people bent on joining the security services from scammers and criminals.
