An investigator at EOCO testifies in GYEEDA trial Investigations by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), indicate that at the time the CEO of Goodwill International, Philip Assibit received two million dollars as payment for securing a 65 million dollar funding from the World Bank for the then NYEP, the country had not even officially written to the bank for such a facility. Payment was however, approved by the former NYEP boss, Abuga Pele for Mr. Assibit. An investigator at EOCO Diana Adu Anane who is testifying in the trial of Mr. Assibit and Abuga Pele said the former NYEP boss wrote a letter justifying why Mr. Assibit should be paid the two million dollars.
