Poor condition of service of state prosecutors must be addressed - a Former Prosecutor 

State Prosecutors in the Attorney General's Office have received serious bashing from the public over what has been described as the frequent loss of cases, because of the lack of prosecution evidence.
 
This was more evident after the acquittal and discharge of   businessman Alfred Woyome. On GBC's Current Affairs Program, Behind The News, some reasons were given for this.

A former Prosecutor at the Attorney Generals Department, Bright Akwetey said the poor condition of service of state prosecutors must be looked at. 

He believes this affects their performance greatly.

A former  Deputy Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Kwame Osei Prempeh said state prosecutors must not take the blame only, as political  heads at the Attorney General’s office also  influence the work of state prosecutors.  

He called for the coupling of the Attorney General Office and the creation of an office for prosecuting services.
