2014 WASSCE records highest exam malpractice Out of the two hundred and forty thousand, six hundred and sixty two (240,662) candidates who sat for the May/June WASSCE last year, eight thousand and fifty-one (8,051) of them were involved in examination malpractices. The figure represents 3.5% which is an all-time high. Addressing a stakeholder dialogue on examination malpractice, the Registrar to the Council at WAEC, Dr Iyi Uwadiae, said cheating candidates have resorted to the use of social media and particularly mobile phones to facilitate their fraudulent activities. Dr. Uwadiae said in view of this WAEC has put in place stringent measures to curb the festering phenomenon of examination malpractice. GBC
