District Elections gap to be created will not cause problem On the 14th of this month, the current tenure of assembly members in the districts will end. This in the view of many will create a gap with the suspension of district level election. But the Dean of Research Studies at the Institute of Local Government, Eric Oduro Osae said the gap to be created will not cause much problem as administrative and operational activities can continue. He however said it is vital that the EC conducts the district level elections by 1st October, when the district assemblies need to approve their composite budget which the Finance Ministry will need to present in the November budget. Mr. Oduro Osae asked to the EC to apologise and communicate the actions on the issue to the public. GBC
