Kpone Holy Waters

Many Africans religiously stick to their traditions and beliefs, which mainly are the various rites of passage from birth and the naming of the child, to the coming of age in some tribes, marriage and death. In some communities, some water bodies are reserved for various traditional activities. These water bodies over the years have helped to preserve not only the spiritual heritage of the locals, but also served as a source of livelihood. However, human activities are forcing these revered water bodies to become extinct. GBC24 took a trip to Kpone in the Greater Accra region, a community formerly known for its strong traditional practices and superstition: The community is struggling to keep its history intact.
