Business community calls off March 4 demo

The joint private sector business Forum, an association of business groups has held a crunch meeting with the Ministry of Trade on the proposed demonstration on Wednesday. 

In an interview with Radio Ghana, the President of GUTA, George Ofori, who speaks for the forum said the strike action has been called off for now. 

“There were a lot of requests that were put before the Ministry and for that matter the minister himself”, he said.

According to him, the requests have been answered particularly the suspension of the G-CAP.

He added that the Association is going to engage the Ministry again to make sure that the cancellation that they are calling for the action and the G-CAP is respected.
