Group condemns alleged Osafo Marfo tape

A group calling itself Ga-Dangbe concerned citizens has expressed displeasure at comments allegedly made by former Finance Minister, Yaw Osafo Marfo against the people of Greater Accra.  

The comments which Mr Osafo-Marfo denies were to the effect that non-Akans whose home regions lack natural resources and do not contribute to national development are rather at the helm of affairs.

The group insists that Mr. Osafo Marfo's comments are distasteful and an attempt to create acrimony between the Akans and other ethnic groups on political grounds. 

The President of the Group, Nii Samuel Oklopon spoke at a news conference in Accra.
