Expert welcomes IMF’s package to Ghana

An Economist and Senior Lecturer at the University of Cape Coast Business School, Dr John Gatsi has welcomed IMF's package to the country.

The country yesterday signed an agreement with the IMF for a 940 million dollar package to stabilise the economy. 

Dr Gatsi said activities that came to a standstill will re-start and also pave the way for donor support.

Dr Gatsi was speaking in an interview with Cecil Nii Obodai Wentum on the GBC's Uniiq Breakfast Drive.

Dr Gatsi also advised that government should prioritise areas of expenditure to ensure growth in the economy.
