PPP takes swipe at Parliament for not inviting it to State of the Nation Address The PPP is taking parliament on for not inviting the party to witness the President's State of the Nation Address. A statement signed by its National Secretary, Kofi Asamoah-Siaw, said is it feels very affronted that no official invitation was sent to it under the pretext that the PPP has no representation in parliament. The statement added that such decision by Parliament is disappointing and discriminatory. It asks that such introduction of unconstitutional elements by governmental, State or public institutions to discriminate against some political parties must stop. According to the statement, the role of the PPP in sustaining the multi-party democratic process in the country cannot be overlooked. It therefore urged Parliament to ensure at all times, a level playing field for all political parties and not to give priority to only parties with representation in Parliament. GBC
