“Focus more attention on the local league”- Prez Mahama tells GFA

President John Mahama, has called on the Ghana Football Association (GFA)to focus more on the local football league in order to make it attractive.

The President said this when he delivered the State of the Nation address to Parliament on Thursday.

Speaking on sports, President Mahama said the nation’s football regulators should do more for the local football league.

“The seeming total neglect of our local league is a matter of concern to football-loving fans. I wish to urge the Ghana Football Association to turn its attention to improving the quality of our local league and work towards making it more attractive and worth following.”
