Expert Projects Slow Economic Growth This Year The Dean of the Methodist University College of Ghana, Professor Kwadwo Ewusi, says he expects a slower growth of 3.5 percent of Ghana's economy this year. This he attributed to the erratic power supply and other imbalances of the economy. He said despite the IMF bailout, businesses will not grow and industries will lay off workers should the current power challenges continue. Professor Ewusi who is also a fellow of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences was delivering the 48th J.B. Danquah Memorial Lectures in Accra, under the theme “Human Capital and Economic Growth in Ghana”. GBC
