Pensioners Medical Scheme Identity Card launches - Haruna Iddrisu

The Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Haruna Iddrisu has advocated the establishment of a health support fund to aid workers on retirement. 

He said the fund should be manned by public sector workers unions as a complement to the pensioners medical and the National Health Insurance Schemes. 

He said the fund when fully implemented will cater for ailments not captured on the NHIS such as cancers, renal diseases and diabetes.  

Mr. Iddrisu was speaking at the launch of the Pensioners Medical Scheme Identity Card in Accra.
