Gender Ministry increases efforts to reverse stunted growth in children under 5 The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection is stepping up efforts to reverse stunted growth in children under five. It will on the 4th of next month launch an expanded component of the LEAP programme in Tamale. The new programme code named "LEAP 1000" funded by UNICEF and USAID will further reduce poverty among the extreme poor and improve upon the health status of people in the beneficiary communities especially children.
