Luxury Car Saga: Former Energy Minister breaks silence Former Minister of Energy, Dr. Oteng Agyei, has broken his silence on the importation of luxury vehicles for the Rural Electrification Project. The news about the vehicles became topical in the face of the current energy crisis. But Dr. Oteng Agyei who was the sector minister when the cars were imported told Radio Ghana that, the sequence of activities used by the NPP government to contract the loan was wrong. Dr Oteng Agyei said because of due diligence he made, forty six million dollars ($46 million) was saved for other projects. Dr. Oteng Agyei has come under pressure from especially the Minority who accused him of keeping one of the vehicles. Dr. Oteng Agyei confirmed that the Lexus 4x4 vehicle which he was using was returned to the Ministry of Energy yesterday. GBC
