NPP to continue “Wongbo” demonstration in Kumasi tomorrow The NPP will tomorrow continue part two of its "wongbo" demonstration, this time in Kumasi. The Party and its members are demonstrating to register their displeasure to the ruling government about the energy crisis. Meanwhile, the Ashanti Regional Police Command says, personnel are prepared for the NPP's scheduled demonstration in the region tomorrow. About four hundred policemen will be deployed to ensure a peaceful demonstration. Speaking to Radio Ghana, the Ashanti Police PRO, ASP Mohammed Yusif Tanko said adequate measures have been put in place to secure the demonstrating crowd. On whether or not the police will give the green light for another proposed demonstration on the 6th of March by a group calling itself, Coalition of Concerned Teachers, ASP Tanko said the police have not heard from the group after submitting an application to demonstrate. ASP Tanko said, the date in question falls on Independence Day and the police will conduct further deliberations on it, if the group follows up on their desire to demonstrate. GBC
