Politicians asked to study ideals and vision of Ghana's first President A Political Science Analyst, Braimah Awaisu has suggested that politicians go back in history and study the ideals and vision of Ghana's first President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. Governments should also reflect on what resulted in the overthrow of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and take a queue from it. In an interview with Radio Ghana, on the 24th February coup in 1966, Mr. Awaisu said, the coup became necessary at a time when Ghanaians, were unhappy with Nkrumah's political administration. He condemned coup d'etat and prayed, it never occurs again in the history of Ghana. GBC
