Council of State Member encourages Women to aspire for higher heights A Council of State Member for the Upper East, Bishop Jacob Kofi Ayeebo, has encouraged women especially those in the region to aspire for higher heights. Speaking with Radio Ghana’s Upper East Regional Correspondent, Dangmaa Felix Lambert in Bolgatanga, the Bishop Ayeebo was hopeful that with the numerous ongoing media campaign for women aspirants in the upcoming District Level Elections, the country was poised to record a significant increase in the number of women at the various assemblies. He explained that Ghana’s democracy will be deepened if there is gender equality at the assembly and parliamentary level, adding that women have the power to turn the country’s fortunes around and should therefore be given opportunity to be part of the decision making process.
