Labone SHS old students to rehabilitate school
 

The Labone Old Students Association (LOSA) has assured the school authorities of their support to help renovate the school and provide some amenities for enhanced academic work.

Mr Joshua Akrong, President of LOSA told Ms Kate Bannerman, Headmistress of the school that the Association would help with some amenities that will be very relevant to the students.

“We have observed problems such as access to potable water, bad drainage systems, poor sanitation conditions and overcrowding in dormitories.

“Therefore as old students of the school, we will discuss how to positively impact on the academic lives of the students so that they can have sound minds to study”, he noted.

He said the major problem they want to tackle first is accessibility to water, adding that, they would assist to construct a borehole for the school.

Mr Samuel Ayisi, Former Secretary and Vice President of LOSA said the Association would wish that it is involved in the activities of the school so that they can give back to their former school.

He said they would soon meet with the school authority and the students to discuss their needs to enable them to prioritize their assistance.

Mr Edwin Gbekor, a member of the association said he plans to design training strategies such as an interview guide, preparation of time table, preparation for examination, and how to choose the right career for the students.

“I have used this strategy for other schools which has worked for them, so I will not hesitate to do same for my own school”, he added.
