President Mahama Did Not Blame Mobile Phones For "Dumsor" 


President John dramani Mahama did not blame mobile phones for the current energy problem says Ministry of Communications.

A statement issued by the sector Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah noted that President Mahama's reaction, during an interaction with the Ghanaian Community in The Gambia on Thursday, to the NPP' Wongbo demo" of Wednesday, has encouraged him to work hard to end the current power challenges confronting the nation, while accepting responsibility to fix the problem. 

According to the statement,  President Mahama did not blame mobile phones for the current problem. 


The Ministry of Communications has therefore come out with the original audio of President Mahama's reaction, during an interaction with the Ghanaian Community in The Gambia on Thursday, to the NPP demonstration of Wednesday. 

It may be recalled that last Friday a section of the media alleged that President John Dramani Mahama whilst, addressing Ghanaians in the Gambia noted that “Ghana’s population is 25 million, but statistics indicates that mobile phone lines in Ghana is over 27 million and these phones are charged every night, and this is one of the causes of the load-shedding."
