Ghana’s dams still experiencing low water levels The dams for Ghana's three hydro electricity generation plants at Akosombo, Akuse and Bui are still experiencing low water levels. In an interview with GBC's Radio Ghana, the Akosombo Plant Manager, Charles des Bordes said instead of 1,200 megawatts, Akosombo is generating less than 600 megawatts as at today. He said Akuse and Bui are also facing the same problem. Engineer des Bordes said all the VRA's Tapco plants in Takoradi are running at full capacity on gas from Atuabo. He expects the electricity situation to improve with Sunom Asogli coming back on stream. GBC
