Ghana Tourism Authority To Enforce Tourism Levy Act

The Board Chairman of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Akunu Dake says the Authority will strictly enforce the tourism levy act in order to generate revenue for tourism development. 

He said nothing will prevent the Authority from increasing the current 43% levy to 90% this year. 

At a workshop for levy collectors in Accra, Mr Dake said the Authority will not spare any member of staff or a levy collector who connives with tourism operators to cheat the country through revenue collection.
