The Daily Graphic welcomes the decision by the National Media Commission and the National Communications Authority to ensure effective regulation of the work of the media to bring about sanity and professionalism. The paper says it has realised some television, radio station, print media and the internet are causing major damage to the country's democracy and societal development. Hence, there is the need to ensure the operations of the media are fair, accurate and balanced. The paper trusts that the two bodies would be able to bring some level of decency into the media environment.
