CSIR permitted to undertake trials on GM crops

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, CSIR has received permit to undertake confined trials into genetically modified crops. 

The Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Akwasi Oppong Fosu announced this at the inauguration of a 13-member committee to oversee functions of the Bio-Safety Act.
