Police adopts strategies to curb okada menace

The Police Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate (MTTD) says, it has adopted new strategies to deal with the Okada business. 

The Administrator of the Department, DSP Samuel Mensah, said the use of motorbike for commercial transport is contributing to the numerous accidents on the roads and added that  the law makes it an offence to operate okada.  

DSP Mensah said a lot of okada operators have been arrested and are facing prosecution.
