Tamale Teaching Hospital Nurses and Midwives call off strike

Nurses and Midwives of the Tamale Teaching Hospital have called off their one day strike with immediate effect. 

The nurses laid down their tools yesterday in protest against what they consider as unfair allocation of bungalows.  

At a meeting with hospital administrators which ended less than an hour ago, the nurses have reached an amicable settlement with the authorities.  

The President of the Nurses and Midwives Association of the Tamale Teaching Hospital, Musah Salifu, has confirmed calling off their strike.  

According to him, they expect management to fulfill their part of the bargain regarding the agreements reached to forestall another strike.
