248 Kumasi Central Prisoners Transferred To Other Stations

248 prisoners have been transferred from the Kumasi Central Prisons to other prisons within the Ashanti Region as well as Ankaful in the Central Region.

The transfer follows a riot that broke out at the prisons three days ago.

P.R.O. of the Prisons Service, DSP Vitalis Ayeh told Radio Ghana that investigations are still on-going to determine the cause of a fire that sparked the whole riot.
