Collateral Registry Act To Facilitate Easy Access To Credit - BoG

The Head of Banking Supervision at the Bank of Ghana, Franklin Belnye says the collateral registry established under the Borrowers and Lenders Act, Act 733 will facilitate easy access to credit by businesses, particularly the small and medium scale enterprises.

He said the Act will ensure the disclosure of accurate information by borrowers and lenders and promote a consistent enforcement framework related to credit.

Mr Belnye said this at the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the collateral registry in Accra.
