Successful implementation of projects will depend on quality Assemblymen and women says Julius Debrah

The Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Julius Debrah says the successful implementation of projects and the value for money at the District Assembly level will depend on the quality of Assemblymen and women. 

He said the Assemblies need quality members to understand their projects needs and strategies for the development of the districts. 

Mr.Debrah made these remarks at separate meetings with some chiefs and assembly members in the East and West Mamprusi districts. The Minister was touring the areas to drum home the need for sanitation and also to elect competent people to the assembly. He said assemblies should be working around to subscribe to bonds so that they can get enough resources to fund their projects. 

The Minister also inspected projects initiated by the Assembly. 

They include a two storey hostel, expansion work on Baptist Medical Centre as well as a one thousand five hundred capacity dining hall for the Gambaga Girls Senior High school.
