Police Officers to be alert whether on duty or not - Chief Superintendent Lawrencia Akorli

The Coordinating Director of the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit of the Ghana Police Service, Chief Superintendent Lawrencia Akorli says every Police Officer needs to be alert whether on duty or not since the Police is a security eye for the public.  

Speaking on Behind the News, Chief Superintendent Akorli said the Police rescued some of the orphans in some of the unlicensed orphanages last month with the assistance of the Gender Ministry and Department of Social Welfare.

Chief Superintendent Akorli said it is not true that owners of such orphanages have still not been arrested.

Chief Superintendent Akorli therefore advised Proprietors of social homes to take good care of orphans since they are the future leaders.
