Nigeria elections: Blast hits presidential rally in Gombe Two female suicide bombers are suspected of being behind a blast outside a stadium in northeast Nigeria minutes after President Goodluck Jonathan addressed a campaign rally there. At least one person was killed and 18 others were wounded in the blast. Mr Jonathan is for seeking re-election on 14th February against former military ruler Muhammadu Buhari. Militant Islamist group Boko Haram has stepped up its attacks in the run-up to the contest.
