THE DAILY GRAPHIC: frowns on how the Malian national team was yesterday booted out from the AFCON tournament.  The paper thinks CAF was not fair to the Malians for eliminating them from the tournament through the casting of lots. It says even though the decision taken by CAF can not be changed at this stage, efforts must be made to change it later or improve upon. In the view of the paper, never again must such a gross injustice in football be repeated.The Graphic wonders why in such instances the teams concerned are not made to go into special rematch to determine the winner. The paper advices CAF to be forward-looking and have laws that gives all teams equal chance of advancing to the next stage and not a law that hinges on a game of chance.


THE GHANAIAN TIMES: cautions Ghanaians to be circumspect with the way they deal with issues concerning the lives of individuals rather than circulating false rumours. The paper believes there is so much to engage the attention of the public as far as politics is concerned, rather than dwelling on personalities and focusing on trivialities. It reminds all who are into personality politics that the country is above falsehood and rumour mongering saying these have no place in the national developmental agenda. The paper calls on those who use the media to create disaffection, fear, panic and anxiety among the people to refrain from those acts.
