Government urged to assist small scale farmers 

Government has again been asked to facilitate efficient policy implementation through a clear strategy that targets small scale farmers, especially women and the youth.  

They should be assisted with land acquisition and preparation equipment as well as financial support from the banks.  

There is also the need for research institutions and CSOs to release data on the agriculture sector to facilitate policy implementation.  

These were concerns of discussants at the launch in Accra of the Ghana Trade and Livelihoods Coalition GTLC's 3rd Agro Policy Performance Barometre (APPB).
